Michelle Obama Is Our National Honorary President

First Lady Michelle Obama has formally accepted the role of Honorary National President of

Girl Scouts of the USA. Kathy Cloninger and Connie L. Lindsey briefly met with the First Lady

-and also President Obama-in an effort to pave the way for future discussions and collaborations

around our shared agenda on girls' and women's issues. Girls from Girl Scout Council of the

Nation's Capital were also present. We hope this is the first of many meetings between Girl Scouts

and the First Family.
