Dear Girl Scouts and Friends of Girl Scouting:

On January 1, 2009, just as many of us were bringing in the New Year, we were also celebrating the official launch of Girl Scouts of Ohio’s Heartland.  The new council is the result of merging three legacy councils (Heart of Ohio, Heritage Trails and Seal of Ohio), each one bringing a tradition of success, strength and a collective array of experience.  The strong partnership between committed adult volunteers and staff will insure the true beneficiaries will be the 32,000 girls served by our new council.  These girls are our future…The Leaders of Tomorrow.  Leaders who will make the world a better place.

As the council moves forward, we hope you will check the website frequently to see what’s new and interesting, and for information on the many opportunities that lie ahead.  We ask for your continued patience as we work diligently to merge all functions of our newly aligned council.  We are here to serve you, our membership, and the communities in which we live and work, and we will continue to work hard to deliver a superior Girl Scouts leadership experience to even more girls within our jurisdiction, in order to help them grow to be their best. We count on our extraordinary volunteers and dedicated community supporters to help us blaze new pathways to help girls develop their full potential.

Yours in Girl Scouting,
