Below are some opportunities for girls to be of service to others in our council and in the wider community.  

 

 

 

 

Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland Community-Wide Food Drive

Troops and their families are encouraged to participate in the community-wide food drive that will take place on Friday, April 23, 2010 from 9 a.m.-2 p.m. at The Ohio 4-H Center on the campus of The Ohio State University in Columbus. 

Please bring non-perishable items. All donations will benefit Operation Feed, the Mid-Ohio Food Bank Annual Community Drive. 

Mid-Ohio Food Bank supplies food to more than 500 food pantries, soup kitchens, shelters, after-school programs, and senior housing sites in central and eastern Ohio-enabling them to provide more than 47,000 meals each day. We need your support!!!

Books4Kids2Keep Book Drive

Books4kids2keep provides young readers with their own collection of books for learning and enjoyment.

Books will be donated to inner city children attending Columbus City Schools. 

Girl Scouts can bring new or gently used books to Jones Middle School, 2100 Arlington Avenue, Upper Arlington, OH

on May 1st from 9 a.m. – 12 p.m.

Feed the Heartland Council Service Project

Welcome to Girl Scouts of Ohio's Heartland Council.  Join us in our council-wide service project, "Feed the Heartland"! 
During Girl Scout week and/or through the entire year, Girl Scouts can participate in a food related service project!

Spread the Bread

It's an opportunity to bake bread - any kind of bread - tied with notes of hope,

gratitude and good cheer to honor heroes and help those in need. 

This is a great Service Unit event!

My Very Own Blanket

My Very Own Blanket is a non profit organization helping to comfort foster care children across Ohio.

Girl Scouts can help by volunteering to make blankets.  Girls will also get a fun patch!
